Your selected cabin fare controls
Before payment, Seas the Gay will identify the specific cabin rate fare in your written confirmation. That fare—not a general website statement—determines whether a cancellation may receive a refund, a Future Voyage Credit, a date change, or no recovery. Taxes and fees, add-ons, promotions, occupancy changes, and any separate group-program charge can have their own terms.
- Suites, Essential, and Premium fares currently follow Virgin's standard cancellation framework unless a special offer says otherwise
- Lock It In and Base fares are currently non-refundable
- Virgin can maintain special or limited booking policies, so the current terms at booking are important
Virgin Lock It In rates
Virgin's current Lock It In guaranteed-category rates trade flexibility for a lower price and possible category upgrade. Virgin states that money paid on a Lock It In booking is non-refundable, does not qualify for the standard seven-day grace period, and cannot be converted to a Future Voyage Credit if you cancel. Cruise-date changes are not permitted, and cabin assignment can occur as late as the sailing date. If cabin location, certainty, or flexibility matters to you, select a different eligible fare rather than Lock It In.
Cabins booked into a group
For a named and paid cabin within a Virgin group, Virgin's current Groups terms say the reservation follows the applicable Ticket Contract. A group with its own signed agreement is governed by that agreement instead. Virgin's published group program also limits unnamed Group Shell inventory to Essential and Premium fares; Base and Lock It In rates cannot be held as unnamed group inventory. We will identify whether your cabin is under standard group terms or a separate group agreement before you book.

Standard Virgin timing at publication
For eligible Suites, Essential, and Premium fares, Virgin currently provides a seven-day full-refund grace period for bookings made more than 120 days before departure. After that grace period and before 120 days, payments other than the deposit may be refunded while the deposit may be eligible for a Future Voyage Credit. From 119 through 45 days before departure, Virgin currently offers eligible guests a Future Voyage Credit or a voyage-date change; at 44 days, funds paid are final, though Virgin currently permits a voyage-only transfer to another person up to 48 hours before sailing. These rules can change and must be confirmed against the fare and booking date in your written confirmation.
Travel insurance is available and recommended
Travel insurance is available and strongly recommended for every cruise. Ask Seas the Gay for available options before you finalize payment, then review the policy wording, benefit limits, eligibility, exclusions, and covered reasons to decide whether it fits your needs. Insurance is not a guarantee of reimbursement; claims are decided by the insurer under the policy. Virgin currently offers Voyage Protection before final payment and InVoyage Care closer to sailing. InVoyage Care is for events during the voyage and does not provide pre-voyage cancellation protection.

How to cancel
To request a cancellation or change, contact Seas the Gay promptly at info@seasthegay.com. A cancellation is effective only when processed under the applicable booking terms; do not assume that an email request alone stops a payment or preserves a refund right.
